Inspector Mark Young said
We were called around 3.45 pm on Saturday 3 April 2021, to a report of an incident on land next to the A947 near Turriff. Officers are currently at the scene conducting enquiries and the road will remain closed until these are complete. Traffic is currently being diverted onto the B9170 towards Cuminestown.
People are commenting on Social Media that vehicles following the diversion should take care as the roads are very narrow and getting blocked with traffic.
The A947 reopened at around 7:30 am this morning
