Aberdeenshire Council will continue to hold virtual meetings online for the next four months.
The matter was raised at an online meeting of Full Council on Thursday, January 14.
Council leader and councillor Andy Kille said
We are once again in lockdown, we as councillors and officers can work from home therefore we must.
This means that online remote meetings must continue for probably several months to come.
Councillors agreed to continue remote meetings until Thursday, April 29.
The matter will be reviewed on this date at a meeting of Full Council and may be extended further if required.
Virtual committee and Full Council meetings have been held online since the initial lockdown in March 2020.
To date, no meetings have been cancelled due to technical issues and IT officer is available for each meeting to ensure any troubles are addressed as soon as possible.
