The hunt is on once again for Turriff’s Citizen Of The Year.
The accolade is organised by Turriff And District Rotary Club to recognise the outstanding contribution of an individual to the local community, either through youth organisations, charity groups, sport-related clubs or some other community-focused project.
The club is now urging members of the public to put pen to paper to nominate their local hero for the 2020 award.
The competition began in 1978 and has seen a citizen from Turriff or the surrounding area recognised each year for his or her work in the community, and last year saw the award go to Girlguiding leader Mabel Webster.
The Rotary organising committee are hoping for another bumper year for entries and to make it easy for the public to get involved they will be placing nomination forms in accessible places throughout the town or you can download the Rotary-Citizen-Year-Nomination-2020 nomination form to print and post to the address on the form.
Nominations can also be sent by email to Rose Logan all you need to do is give the name of the person you want to nominate and the reason for the nomination.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 13 November.
