Three vehicle collision closes A947

The A947 has been closed north of King Edward after a three-vehicle collision involving two cars and a motorcycle.

The A947 has been closed north of King Edward after a three-vehicle collision involving two cars and a motorcycle.

Motorists have been finding their own diversion routes through Dunlugas & Eden with local roads getting congested with traffic and oversized vehicle getting stuck.

Police & ambulances are in attendance with reports that the air ambulance has also been seen at the scene of the collision.

Police Scotland spokesperson said

We got a report of the three-vehicle collision between two cars and a motorcycle at 16:30. An ambulance is in attendance and the road is closed.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital and the road reopened just before 19:00.
