Scottish farmers are being reminded not to delay filling out their Single Application Forms (SAF) as the May deadline approaches.
Farmers in Scotland have not been given any extra time to submit their SAF applications this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak unlike farmers in Wales and England.
Rural Economy Secretary Fergus Ewing MSP is urging farmers, crofters and land managers to submit their Single Application Forms for 2020 in plenty of time.
Each year Scottish farmers submit a Single Application Form on 15th May to claim payments under multiple different schemes such as; Basic Payment Scheme, Less Favoured Area Support Scheme, Suckler Beef Support Scheme and the Agri-Environment Climate Scheme.
Farmers, crofters and land managers who would like further information or help about the process should email or call their local ScotGov area office and speak to a member of staff.
