Turriff & District Citizens Advice Bureau (covering north-west Aberdeenshire) has announced it will continue offering its services to local people to help them through the Coronavirus period.
Turriff & District, CAB Manager Claire Christie said today
We understand that local people are concerned about the health impacts of this virus and will also need advice about other aspects of their lives, including their jobs, rent and social security payments. So, we are determined to remain open and ready to offer people all the help we can.
We would remind people that access to our advice service will be by telephone rather than physically coming into our CAB office, but our trained advisers will continue to offer the same high level of advice and support.
As ever, CAB advice is free, impartial and completely confidential, whichever route you choose to access it.
Commenting and welcoming the news Gillian Martin MSP said
It’s so important that for those who need information and advice that it is readily available to them and never more so than in the current challenges we face.
While I appreciate these arrangements are a considerable departure from usual practice and will cause disruption for some users, I am reassured that though their doors may be closed, CAB is still very much open for business and ready to take calls from those in need and with concerns.
Moving online will allow CAB to maintain their ability to provide essential advice and support those affected in our communities, especially in this time of great uncertainty.
For the foreseeable future
- The CAB office will be closed to the public
- You can contact CAB by telephone on 01888 562495, Monday – Thursday 9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm and Friday 9 am- 12.30 pm to make a telephone appointment. Telephone appointments will generally be between 10am & 12pm and 1pm & 3pm.
