General Election called

If you want to vote in the December 2019 General Election on Thursday 12  December 2019 then you will need to make sure that you are registered.

The UK parliament in Westminster has just voted to hold a General Election, assuming that the House Of Lords agree with this when they sit on Wednesday, then it looks like the General Election will be held on Thursday 12  December 2019.

Anyone who is 18 or over on the day of the General Election is entitled to vote. If you have recently moved or changed your name, you will need to register again.

You can register online using this link to the gov.uk website, and only takes around five minutes.

In Turriff, you will be voting in the Banff and Buchan constituency, the seat currently held by David Duguid.

You have until 26 November to register to vote, so just take five minutes and don’t lose your voice.
