Appeal after further farm equipment thefts

Published by Mike Rawlins

Turriff Police Officers are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a Portek Scatterbird and battery which happened between Sunday 7 and Tuesday 9 April 2019. The bird scarer was being used in a field in the Fyvie area at the time of the theft.

Constable Caie, from the local Policing Team said

I would appeal for anyone with information in relation to this theft or who has any information which would assist in this enquiry to contact the police, or report this anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers as soon as possible.

Although, this appears to be an isolated incident, I would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to remain vigilant for any suspicious activity and to ensure the security of their property where possible.
