Driver killed in A947 crash

Police Scotland was called to a one vehicle collision near to King Edward parish church just before 8:30 pm on Sunday night.

A BMW car with a single occupant had left the road and collided with a tree. The 53-year-old male driver died at the scene, no other vehicles were involved. The road was closed until 3:30 am on Monday morning to allow Police Scotland to complete their investigation in to the collision.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances from Macduff and Banff to the scene.
