Royal Bank of Scotland have announced that a number of branches which had previously been earmarked for closure, will remain open whilst their use is independently assessed.
The ten branches are
- Biggar
- Beauly
- Castlebay on Barra
- Comrie
- Douglas in Lanarkshire
- Gretna
- Inveraray
- Melrose
- Kyle
- Tongue
Turriff and Banff branches will still face closure along with branches in
- Ellon
- Huntly
- Montrose
- Dyce
- Bridge of Don
According to the website of the 72% state-owned bank, Turriff branch will close on 26 June 2018 with Banff closing its doors on 23 May.
