Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is having an employability and careers information event for people in the Banff and Turriff area who are unemployed.
The free event, at the Deveron Community and Sports Centre, Banff, will show the support and training which is available locally. It is at the Bellevue Road centre from 10 am until 4 pm on Wednesday 20 September.
SDS Career Coach Ally Allen said
We felt the time was right for an event like this with our partner organisations, including Aberdeenshire Council. It is a one-stop event which will help people find out more about the employment and training opportunities in this area.
It is also an event where people of all ages can meet the training providers and find out more about the wide range of support that is available.
There will be representatives from PACE (Partnership Action for Continuing Employment) which is Scotland’s redundancy support initiative, Jobcentre Plus and other employment and training bodies.
More information is available from the SDS centre, in the Garioch Centre, Constitution Street or by calling 01647 623 623 or by calling SDS’s Peterhead centre on 01779 479 345.
