Balmellie Street now CLOSED to traffic for ten days

Published by Mike Rawlins

Aberdeenshire Council has just notified us that Balmellie Street will now be CLOSED to all traffic from Wednesday 6 September.

The area affected remains the same, from the junction of Main Street and Kemp’s Lane. The closure will remain in place for ten days or until the work on the footpaths is completed.

Aberdeenshire Council has taken the decision to close the road to all traffic on safety grounds because drivers were ignoring the signage for the one-way system and driving through the roadworks at speed on both directions.
