Food Safety Warning consumers advised not to drink macb water

Published by Mike Rawlins

Food Standards Scotland are advising consumers to not drink macb brand water.

In a series of tweets from the @FSScot Twitter account the food standards body said

We are aware of an incident involving bottled water & liaising with relevant enforcement authorities to establish more information (1/2)

Our advice is not to drink macb water as a precaution. (2/2)

Further information in relation to this incident will be made available later today.

It is reported that consumers have reported issues with the smell and taste of the water which is manufactured in Macduff.

A spokesperson for the manufacturer said

We have been made aware of a quality issue relating to our macb Strawberry & Kiwi flavoured drink. We take our responsibility as a quality soft drink manufacturer very seriously.

Please be assured that whilst the drink may be unpleasant to taste this is not harmful if consumed.

Please email our dedicated customer care team at customercare@cott.co.uk if you have any questions. We are experiencing a high number of calls and emails so please bear with us during this time.
