Appeal for information after break in and theft at Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery

Police in Turriff are appealing for information following a break-in and theft at the Trout Fishery, Delgatie Castle.

The theft is believed to have happened between 6:50pm on Monday 12 June 2017 and 7:30am on Tuesday 13 June 2017 and as a result, a low-three figure sum of cash was stolen.

Investigating Officer Constable Alfie Stuart said

We would like to appeal to the public to contact us if they saw anything suspicious during these times in and around the Delgatie Castle area.

I would also like to use this opportunity to encourage householders to be mindful of securing their property, any outbuildings, vehicles and property of value at all times, in an effort to prevent opportunist thefts that continue to occur within Turriff and the surrounding communities.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote reference number 535 of 13/06 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
