Application deadline for the Mary Salmond Trust

The board of trustees for the Mary Salmond Trust will meet on Thursday 9 February.

Any local groups who would like to apply to the trust must have their applications in by Monday 6 February for them to be considered at the meeting.

The Mary Salmond Trust was set up in 2007 by the then First Minister Alex Salmond MSP, in memory of his mother and provides grants to community and youth organisations in the North East of Scotland.

In the year to 31 March 2016 the Trustees met four times and approved 55 applications for funding support totalling £20,480 to 55 applicants. 47 grants were made to community organisations and 8 grants to individuals.

Since the trust commenced in December 2007 the total awarded has been £121,461.76 being 303 grants, an average of £400.
