Aberdeenshire Council are asking parents and guardians of pupils to complete a survey about being able to communicate electronically with parents by email, text message and push notification to a smartphone app.
The new smartphone app currently being developed will allow push notifications to be sent to your phone when a school has contacted you electronically.
The new system will allow documents such as letters, newsletters and forms to be sent directly to parents and guardians who have provided contact details. It is hoped that the new system will be rolled out at the end of the 2016/17 academic year.
Aberdeenshire Council would like to gain the views of parents of children currently at school in Aberdeenshire, on the proposed system and have created a short survey which can be accessed here https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/AberdeenshireSchools.
