Officers from Police Scotland Neighbourhood Policing Unit in Turriff are keen to trace the owner of some grey training shoes.
The shoes were recovered from outside a property on Balmellie Place, on Sunday 28 August. The owner of the shoes, who was thought to have been suitably refreshed in one (or possibly several) of the many fine public houses in Turriff, may have left his shoes in error. The tired and emotional individual may have gotten confused and left the shoes on the door step thinking they were on their own doorstep.
After realising their error the person walked off forgetting to pick up their shoes.
Sargent Davie Threadgold from Turriff Police Station said,
We would like the return the shoes to their owner, no questions asked. We’d like the owner to collect them so we don’t have to send them to our found property store in Aberdeen.
The front door of Turriff Police Station is open not only to the owner of the shoes but anyone else who would like to call in and see me and the local policing officers.
If you woke up on Sunday morning with sore feet and holes in your socks wondering where your shoes are or you know the owner, please contact officers at Turriff Police Station.
