The spate of mindless vandalism at the Den seems to be continuing.
Despite Police Scotland being informed of previous instances of vandalism and investigating, there has been more damage to the grandstands around the show ring and yet more graffiti on the old den shop.
This latest round of vandalism appears to have taken place on the night of Friday 26 August.
Boards have been removed from the grandstands around the show ring and there has been more spray painted graffiti on the pavilion.
Speaking as the Chairman of Turriff and District Community Council
I have to say this really annoys me, the community council, the show committee and countless other groups spend their time trying to make Turriff and nice, clean welcoming town. This kind of mindless vandalism achieves nothing other than spoiling the image of Turriff for tourists, visitors and residents alike.
It also means that Aberdeenshire Council and the groups working in Turriff now have to spend time and money trying to fix it. Budgets are being squeezed all the time and while we are actively campaigning to keep the public toilets open in the face of budget cuts funds are having to be found to repair this senseless damage.
If you know anything about who may have done this please contact Police Scotland on 101
