Tifty Bridge to remain closed

Published by Mike Rawlins

Aberdeenshire Council have said that Tifty Bridge will now be closed for the foreseeable future.

The bridge was damaged by the rainfall and flooding in January. Initially the bridge was closed for two weeks after it was inspected in January. The closure was then increased to six months until August 2016. Aberdeenshire Council have now said that the bridge will remain closed for the foreseeable future, as the bridge cannot be repaired and will need to be rebuilt.
