Aberdeenshire Council have called a meeting to discuss the future of the former Turriff municipal building on High Street.
The municipal buildings which were used by Aberdeenshire Council until 2012 are now surplus to requirements. Turriff Town House Association have been using the building under licence since 2013 while the prepared a Community Asset Transfer application. Unfortunately the application to transfer the building in to the hands of the association failed and now Aberdeenshire Council are looking at alternative uses for the building.
If a new group or groups cannot be found to take on the building then it may be placed for sale on the open market.
The meeting takes place on Wednesday 29 June in the Conference Room at Turriff Academy, member of the public, groups and interested parties are welcome to attend.
Any groups who are interested in the future of the buildings in Turriff should attend the meeting.
