A few weeks ago I was asked if I could publish a post on the My Turriff Facebook page about a Spiderman motorbike that had been mistakenly left at Markethill nursery and was found smashed to pieces on Monday morning.
The post attracted a lot of attention and I one of the messages I got was from Cameron Anderson of Subsea Tooling Services in Oldmeldrum, saying,
We would like to replace this wee mans Spiderman bike with a new one… if possible please get in touch so we can make this story a happier ending!
Today I went to Oldmeldrum where I met young Jenson and his mum Laura as they collected a new Spiderman motorbike and some other goodies from Cameron, Emily and Billy who run Subsea Tooling services.
Jenson was very quiet during his visit, until Emily offered to carry the motorbike to the car for him, at which point he jumped on it and shot off across the car park.
Commenting on Facebook, Laura said
I would just like to say a huge thank you to Mike at My Turriff and to Cameron, Emily and Billy. You have made my wee boy very happy. Jenson spent the evening zooming around the house on his bike and shooting his dad with the rocket on the spider man toy!
A story with a happy ending.
