Members of Turriff Tourism Action Group and Turriff Business Association are holding a meeting on Thursday 12 May with a number of invited speakers.

The aim of the meeting is to let every one know what is happening within the tourist industry in our area and to get the across the message that tourists are not necessarily on a plane and flying here, someone coming from another town having a good experience and returning again is a tourist as well.This meeting is for everyone with a interest in promoting our town to a wider audience.

David McCubbin VisitAberdeenshire
Marketing and Business Engagement Executive
VisitAberdeenshire is the regions new tourism company, funded by ONE, (Opportunity North East), Scottish Enterprise, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire Councils. David has newly been appointed to the post as Marketing and Business Engagement Executive and has a wealth of experience in a similar roll in Somerset. He will explain how the new organisation will open up fresh opportunities to develop and promote the region.
Jo Robinson VisitScotland
Regional Director Aberdeen City and Shire
Jo is also newly appointed Regional Manager to the area. She will explain how Visitscotland is currently promoting Scotland globally and how Aberdeenshire fits within VisitScotlands’s marketing campaigns.
Caroline Rennie Formartine Partnership
Caroline will speak on local tourism initiatives managed by Formartine Tourism Partnership and currently being promoted in the area.
The meeting is being held in the cafe at Celebrations on Main Street and starts at 7.30pm. Anyone who has an interest in promoting Turriff is welcome to attend the meeting.
