Job Vacancy – Dementia Friendly Communities Aberdeenshire Team Leader

Salary £28,500 per annum (pro rata), 16 Hours Per week fixed term contract to May 31st 2018
Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action (AVA), working in partnership with the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership, has a vacancy for a part-time Dementia Friendly Communities Team Leader working flexibly for 16 hours per week. The successful applicant will lead the Dementia Friendly Communities Project team and oversee the consolidation and development of Dementia Friendly Communities in Aberdeenshire.
This role will seek to ensure the team work effectively to promote dementia awareness via engagement with community groups, businesses and public sector partners, aligning with local and national policies. The role will also involve regular support and supervision for team members as well as project reporting and effective evaluation practices are in place.
Experience in working with a range of stakeholders including public sector, business and community is essential. Candidates must be able to travel across Aberdeenshire and work flexibly from home, supported by their nearest Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action’s administrative office.
