Police Scotland is looking to trace the driver of a car following an incident reported to have occurred in Macduff on Sunday.
Officers are keen to speak with the driver of a large black Vauxhall car which was seen in the area of High Shore leading to Tarlair swimming pool MacDuff at around 1.30pm on Sunday 24 April.
At this time the male driver of this vehicle stopped and spoke to a young girl. Although no approach was made to the 10 year old, who was sitting on a bench near friends, and the incident may have been entirely innocent, officers would like to speak to the driver of the vehicle to establish the circumstances.
The driver has been described as short, of slim build with short spikey hair. He spoke with an accent, possibly Eastern European, and was wearing a black and yellow striped shirt with dark jeans and he was aged in his late 20s or early 30s.
We would appeal for the driver to make contact with us or anyone who has information about the driver to call us on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
