Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses following a wilful fireraising which happened at Priory Stores, Turriff, a derelict property situated opposite the junction of Upperton of Gask on the unclassified road from Turriff to Thorneybank.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended the fire, along with Police at around 11.50pm on Saturday, 24 October, 2015.
Police are following a number of lines of enquiry and Constable John Riddell, from Turriff Police Office, who is investigating, has appealed for information.
PC Riddell said
This fire was set to property stored within one of the rooms at the front of the building nearest to the roadside.
I am currently conducting a number of lines of enquiry in an effort to identify the person or persons responsible but I would urge anyone that has any information regarding the fire, who witnessed the fire or was in the vicinity at the time to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
