Developer, Interurban Developments Ltd have lodged an appeal with the Scottish Government about Aberdeenshire Councils refusal to allow the former public toilets on Duff St to be turned in to a takeaway.
In the documents sent to the Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals, the developers are stating that there are no road safety or traffic concerns because there are numerous car parks in the vicinity of the development. The appeal also states that Aberdeenshire Council have not shown how a development of this type will have a negative impact on the amenity of the surrounding residents.
The appeal will now be looked at by officers from the Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals who have the power to approve the application and overturn the decision of Aberdeenshire Council.
All the documents relating to the application and the appeal can be found on Aberdeenshire Councils planning website by clicking here.
