Firefighters from Turriff were called to attend a fire at the rear of a property on the B9170 between Turriff and Cuminestown earlier today.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Control took the call at 12.25pm and dispatched appliances from Turriff, along with appliances from Maud, Aberchirder and Macduff to the scene.
On arrival crews were faced with a van and JCB on fire at the rear of the property and the fire had begun spreading to the house.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and one main jet to bring the fire under control by 1.30pm.
Thankfully no one was injured during the incident.
Station Manager Chay Ewing, who was at the scene, said
The crews did an excellent job by preventing the fire spreading throughout the affected property and another adjoining property.
