Turriff boating pond off to a successful start

Rose Logan, Chair of Turriff & District Community Council has reported that Turriff boating pond at The Haughs has reopened and is making a successful start to the holiday season.

Rose said,

Monday 6th July  saw the opening of the Turriff Boating Pond and as can be seen  from the photo plenty of youngsters and adults were taking advantage of the fine weather over the weekend.

The Boating Pond has operated under the auspices of Turriff & District Community Council for many years now and is a great attraction for tourists and the local community alike.

It is planned that, weather permitting, the Boats will  be operational from 12 – 5.30pm. daily until the middle of August at least.
