Police Scotland can confirm that a man has died following a serious road traffic collision on the unclassified Fyvie to Cuminestown Road near Turriff yesterday.
Police, Ambulance and fire crews attended the collision which occurred at approximately 4.15pm on Sunday 14 September and involved a lorry and a pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene and the driver of the lorry was uninjured.
It is reported that the deceased man was on the road outside his own farm when he was struck and killed by the feed mix vehicle.
The road was closed for several hours to allow for collision investigation.
Police Scotland are asking that anyone who was travelling on the road shortly before the collision and who saw the male pedestrian contact them on 101.
