Plans to change the Crown Inn on Crown Street Turriff from a public house to a hotel with a public bar have finally been approved by the Formartine Area Committee.
Plans to change the pub to a hotel had previously been rejected by all three Turriff Councillors and questions were raised about parking for people using the hotel.
Councillors carried out a site visit and the plans were put before the Formartine Area Committee again yesterday for discussion.
The committee passed the plans which now allow the pub to complete the 7 bedrooms planned for letting and other associated works.
