Ahead of the 150th Turriff Show this weekend, a weather warning for heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office.
An area of persistent and at times heavy rain will move north across the area, and winds will become strong, with the risk of gales over coasts and hills. The public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding and of disruption to transport.
There is a chance that the predicted rain will not be a severe as currently forecast
At this stage computer models do not agree on the track and depth of the low, so there is some uncertainty in the forecast and this warning is likely to be updated.
So hopefully we will miss the worst of the rain for show weekend.
