Today is the day when the Queen’s Baton Relay will come in to Aberdeenshire and Turriff.
As you would expect with an event like this, there will be some disruption on the roads and parking restrictions are in place. There are No Parking signs on the A947 from before the caravan park heading in to town all the way through to Turriff Caravans & Morrison Motors heading to Banff. Also High Street & Main Street are no parking areas, anywhere on this map that has a red line on it is no parking.
So if you are heading in to town to see the Queen’s Baton make sure you leave plenty of time to get to where you want to be and please park considerately.
The Queen’s Baton is expected to run to the following schedule today
and you can follow the progress of the Queen’s Baton on the Glasgow 2014 website.
If you take any pictures of the Queen’s Baton in Turriff, or anywhere else in the Shire you can post them to this site http://pictureaberdeenshire.co.uk/albums/queensbatonrelayaberdeenshire
