Staff from Tesco Turriff took part in a charity cycle ride which will from Stornaway to Shetland in aid of Diabetes UK.
The relay ride will cover 573 miles during the week and will be visiting more than 20 Tesco stores across the North East & Highlands. Each store taking part is challenged to raise £500 for Diabetes UK and provide at least one rider to take the challenge to the next store on the route.
A team of 4 riders took on the challenge from the Fraserburgh store and headed 23 miles in to Turriff on Monday afternoon. The first two riders, Ross Urquhart & Neil Connell arrived in Turriff at 1:30 to hand over the GPS tracker to the Tesco Turriff dream team of Mark Massie, Alan Thompson, John Garden and Alex Bates who were riding the 23 miles to Tesco Buckie.
Three of the Turriff cyclists arrived at Buckie shortly after 5pm where they handed the GPS over to Norman who made a solo ride to Forres.

We have raised £550 so far from customer donations, this will be added to the sponsorship money raised by each of the 4 cyclists. We hope to have a final total in the next few days.
