The Laird’s Kitchen Tearoom at Delgatie Castle has been named one of the five finalists in this years Scottish Home Baking Awards.
Joan and the team from Delgatie will join representatives from 33 other finalists in 8 categories at the Scottish Home Baking Awards on the 21st of September. This years awards are being hosted by singer and TV presenter Michelle McManus at the 5 star Mar Hall golf & spa resort on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow .
The Laird’s Kitchen Tearoom will compete against the five other finalists for the prestigious trophy in the category of ‘Best Overall Premises’. The Best overall Premises award recognises not just the home baking but the overall general appearance, cleanliness, location and customer service. To win this award a number of strict guidelines must be met including one stating that the produce must be made on the premises using a domestic oven and nothing can be produced or supplied commercially.
The Laird’s kitchen at Delgatie Castle is open daily from 10am until 5pm serving teas, coffees, freshly baked cakes, Scones, lunches or afternoon teas.
