It is just under a week now until Turriff Show 2013 at the show ground in Turriff, with a packed programme over Sunday & Monday.
Due to popular demand the trade stand area has been extended again this year and will boast over 250 stands displaying farm machinery from the major manufacturers along with stands from ancillary trades and industries. Those with an interest in renewable energy won’t be disappointed as this year sees an increase in the number of green energy stands.
The arts & crafts marquee in its new location on the east of the show ground is devoted to high quality handmade craft products, visitors will be able to see everything from beauty products through to wood craft. There will be craft demonstrations from a number of the exhibitors over the 2 days.
The Turriff Show Food Fayre has a wide variety of quality stands promoting the very best of predominantly Scottish food and drink. Take the opportunity to sample such traditional delights as oak smoked Scottish fish and game, haggis, award winning cheese, jams and chutneys, shortbread, speciality cakes and bakery products, hand made fudge and tablet, luxury ice cream and a selection of local drinks. Stands offer fresh fish, the very best Aberdeen Angus beef and a range of cookware all of which can be purchased. The new food court will provide a wide variety of menus to suit all the family.
The exhibition hall will have a ‘lifestyle’ theme and there will be stands promoting health and nutrition, marketing and business development, photography, kitchen design, and lifestyle products. Don’t miss cookery demonstrations with The Two Fat Laddies on Sunday and Monday.
As well as the trade stands, marquee’s and hall there will be a packed programme of ringside entertainment including Adrenaline Tour with Jason Smyth, Cyril The Squirrel and his Racing Terriers Display Team, pony carriage driving. There will also be the vintage vehicle display and Cadona’s funfair.
