Turriff & District Community Council are holding a public meeting to discuss the future of Turriff Municipal Hall.
The Municipal Hall is currently owned by Aberdeenshire Council and will be disposed of as part of their reorganisation and rationalisation of buildings. Turriff & District Community Council want to create a charitable organisation to take over the ownership of Turriff Municipal Hall and use it for the benefit of the community. The hall would make an ideal community hub to support, arts & crafts, sport, dance & drama and many other things across all ages and all aspects of the Turriff and district communities.
The meeting will discuss ways that the hall could be brought in to community ownership and be sustainable.
The public meeting will be held at Turriff Academy on Wednesday 6 February at 7PM, all members of the community are urged to attend.
